Sports Medicine Australia is incredibly proud to congratulate two of our valued members Kate Mahony and Dr Philipa Inge have been selected among 16 women to participate in the 2021 AIS Talent Program.
The new program was launched earlier this year with the aim to develop and support professional development of women in the fields of sport science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine. The program is designed to increase the representation of women across all roles in Australian sport.
Through this initiative, the AIS hopes to target the issue of under-representation of women throughout these areas and provide space for women to pursue more opportunities throughout their careers.
As an organisation, SMA prides itself on the great achievements of our members and the work they do to contribute to sport throughout Australia.
This is a wonderful achievement that is well deserved for both Kate Mahony and Dr Philipa Inge who have already accomplished so much in their careers to date. There is no doubt that they will display many more achievements under this program and in years to come.
