Sports Medicine Australia, supported by SMA Sports Doctors, will be providing the opportunity for three doctors with an active role in sports medicine in the Pacific Islands to attend the 2026 SMA & ACSEP Scientific Conference in Brisbane this October.

 

Expressions of interest close at 11:59pm (AEST) on Sunday, 13 September 2026.

Our organisation’s mission is to advance the field of sports medicine especially where the impact of that knowledge is felt within the communities in our region. To that end, we invite sports doctors and doctors with active role in sports medicine, working in the Pacific Islands, to submit an expression of interest for this sponsorship program, which aims to build connections and improve health outcomes for local communities.

The program includes:

  • Return flights to Brisbane
  • Accommodation near the Conference venue
  • Full Conference delegate ticket (including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea each day as well as key social events and gala dinner) from 28th – 31st October.

This year’s Conference is delivered in partnership with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians and has an incredible program. International and Australian speakers will present contemporary research, emerging evidence and practical insights, supported by symposia, workshops and presentations across clinical sports medicine, sports and exercise science, injury prevention, and physical activity and health promotion.
