Nominations are now open for the 2026 Northern Territory Sports Awards.

The NT Sports Awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers. Managed by the Department of People, Sport and Culture, the awards provide an opportunity for the community and sporting sector to nominate across 11 categories.

Sports Medicine Australia proudly sponsors the Karen Schneider SMA Safer Sport Award, established in recognition of Karen Schneider’s significant contribution to sports and exercise physiotherapy in the Northern Territory. This award is presented to a person or persons who have gone above and beyond to create a safer sporting environment for their team, players, or community. Nominations close Friday 19 December 2025, and winners will be announced at the annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday 28 March 2026.
