Sports Medicine Australia’s scientific abstract submissions are now open for the 2024 SMA & ACSEP Conference, being held at the iconic MCG from 16-19 October 2024.
This unique co-convened event is dedicated to excellence in the multidisciplinary fields of sports and exercise medicine, sports science and physical activity. With an expected attendance of over 700 delegates, it will offer a rich and diverse scientific program and an extensive delegate network with representation from across all sports medicine professions.
We invite all researchers, practitioners and clinicians to submit research abstracts for independent review and consideration for inclusion in the Conference scientific program. Submissions are being sought for high quality research in the areas of:
- Sports and exercise science
- Physical activity and health promotion
- Clinical sports medicine
- Sports injury prevention
In 2024, SMA has $23,000 in funding to be awarded to leading Early Career and Senior Career researchers in each of the above four Conference streams.
