We’re delighted to present the preliminary 2023 ASICS SMA Conference program.

It’s a program founded on academic excellence, knowledge sharing across all sports medicine and sports science disciplines, and creating connections. It’s also SMA’s 60th Anniversary, and we’ll be celebrating this important milestone with you.

To headline, we bring you eight exceptional keynotes, whose presentations are imbued with their academic and clinical accomplishments, and extensive and varied professional experiences. We kick these off with the prestigious Refshauge Lecture, delivered by Dr Rod Whiteley.

The keynote and invited speaker sessions are complimented by symposia, workshops and a comprehensive schedule of free paper presentations. You’ll learn about fuelling performance, understanding athletic excellence, injury epidemiology, ACL biomechanics, soft tissue, gender in sport, hip and groin…and that’s just for starters.

There’s our annual Awards with a total prize value of $23,000. The judging will take place across the four days, culminating in the Scientific Poster Session Awards, Best of the Best Research Awards, and the distinguished ASICS Medal.

And let’s not forget the Welcome Cocktails, Gala Dinner and all the other networking opportunities that are carved into the program to give you time to connect with your fellow delegates.
