2022 SMA Conference: Abstract and Symposia/Workshop Submission Deadline Extended

May 11, 2022

Due to a high number of requests from delegates, the Submission deadline for Abstracts/Symposia/Workshops for the 2022 SMA Conference has been extended from Wednesday, May 18 at 11:59 pm (AEST) to Wednesday, May 25 at 11:59 pm (AEST).

We invite all researchers, practitioners and clinicians to submit their abstracts, symposiums and workshops with $23,000 worth of prizes to be won!

To submit your abstract, please CLICK HERE.

In 2022, Abstract submissions will be slightly different – the committee would like to see submissions abide by the updated guidelines:

  • Word limit has been increased to 500 words, up from 400 words in previous years.
  • You must include impact points at the end of your submission – This is a new feature introduced in 2022 and one that has the ability to make a difference in the selection process, including award shortlist!.
  • Ensure you adhere to the guidelines to be eligible for the SMA Awards, including presenting data in your abstract (this can be preliminary data). If you show no data in your abstract, you will not be eligible for an award.

SMA is thrilled to have announced our Refshaege Lecturer, Dr Susan White, and one of our Keynote Speakers, Prof Dr Vincent Gouttebarge, who will be presenting at the Conference this year, taking place from November 16-19 at the RACV Royal Pines Resort in Gold Coast!

The above duo are just the first of many announcements to come in the next few weeks with early bird registration ending on 31 July 2022.
