SMA provides a team of sports medicine professionals to support up to 2000 national and international athletes at the Darwin Arafura Games (26 April – 4 May 2019) at our Clinic located in Marrara.  The team includes Volunteer Sports Doctors, Sports Physicians, GP’s, Physiotherapists and Sports Trainers.

We provide return airfares from your nearest capital city to Darwin, shared accommodation, and meals whilst on duty.

This is a great opportunity for Sports Physiotherapists & Physiotherapists to volunteer to work in a learning & team environment with experienced sports medicine professionals.  The clinic is open from 7am to 11pm (rostered shifts).

Candidates must:

  • Have completed a Masters of Physiotherapy, or be an APA Accredited Sports Physiotherapist
  • Be available for the duration of the Games, 26 April – 4 May 2019
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and sharing experience with Doctors, Physiotherapists and Sports Trainers
  • Be able to obtain a temporary Medicare provider number for the purpose of the clinic
  • Strong interest in sport
  • Have own professional indemnity insurance
