Sports Medicine Australia is excited to present the next face-to-face workshop, on behalf of the Northern Territory State Council – Stretching and Flexibility.

The presenter for this event is Dorianne Sherry, Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with a  wealth of knowledge and experience in managing complex musculoskeletal injuries, antenatal and postnatal care, and rehabilitating post operative surgical and orthopaedic cases.

It is free for SMA Members and $25 for Non-Members.

Speakers

Dorianne (Dori) is a Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist who moved to Darwin in 2015, after growing up and training in Perth, WA. Working across both the private and public health sectors since 2010, Dori has a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing complex musculoskeletal injuries, antenatal and postnatal care, and rehabilitating post operative surgical and orthopaedic cases.  

Dori has a passion for working with athletes of all levels. This has lead to expertise in treating acute and chronic sporting injuries, specifically more complex cases relating to overuse injuries, ankles, knees and shoulders. Career highlights are going to the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Head Physiotherapist for the Alice Springs Masters Games, working with the Australian Hockeyroos, and travelling with elite and amateur sporting teams interstate and internationally. 

Dori’s passion for physiotherapy extends to teaching undergraduate students, mentoring young physiotherapists and educating the general public in injury prevention, health and wellbeing. She has recently opened up a new practice, Physio Evolution, located in Darwin CBD.
