Sports Medicine Australia held a live online panel discussion on Tuesday July 14 about the resumption of sport and the lessons learned during COVID19.
The expert panel included Australian Institute of Sport Chief Medical Officer Dr David Hughes, Australian Netball Team’s Head Physiotherapist Alanna Antcliff, Sport & Exercise Psychologist Shayne Hanks and Radford College’s Head of Sport and former ATP tennis professional Brent Lakrham.
Professional athletes Jess Gallagher (Paralympian), Rowie Webster (Australian Waterpolo Captain) and Kate Moloney (Melbourne Vixens) shared their insights and the challenges they have faced returning to training during this pandemic.
Over 13 countries from around the world tuned in and the attending audience asked 28 questions to the panel.
