Sports Medicine Australia is delighted to present the upcoming face-to-face workshop “Athletic Footwear Design: Impact on Function and Movement” in Northern Territory.
This event will be presented by Darren Barclay who currently works as a Senior Podiatrist at Darwin Podiatry and has a special interest in biomechanical patients and those with sports injuries. Darren will cover:

Darren Barclay currently works as a Senior Podiatrist at Darwin Podiatry and has a special interest in biomechanical patients and those with sports injuries. Previously Darren has worked in Townsville and Wellington, NZ working closely with local and national sporting teams and athletes.
Graduating from the University of Canberra in 1996 with a Bachelor of Sports Science, Darren went on to coach at the AIS squash unit and work as a Squash Professional overseas for more than 10 years. Returning to University to study Podiatry, Darren graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2010.
He has completed several ultra-distance events including UTA Australia and NZ events and an Ironman as an age group athlete to add to his towel collection.
