Sports Medicine Australia is excited to present the event ‘Knee – Examination & Management of Main Injuries,’ which will be facilitated by Kieran Richardson (FACP) a specialist physiotherapist with a particular focus on non-surgical management of ACL injuries.

The confirmed speaker for this event is Dr Colm McCarthy.

This event is $20 for SMA Members and $50 for Non-Members. This event will be held from 7:00pm – 8:00pm AEST via Zoom

Kieran is a Specialist Physiotherapist and the Director of Global Specialist Physiotherapy, a consultancy company of academics, expert clinicians and researchers who provide Formal Mentoring, Professional Development and Second Opinion.  

Kieran has a special interest in Non-surgical Management of ACL injuries, having overseen 100’s of successful cases who’ve returned to competitive sports without surgery, including confirmed healed full thickness ruptures on repeat MRI. He has lectured at state and national conferences on this topic, runs live online presentations to clinicians, practices and large clinic groups, and second opinions for patients and clinicians wanting an expert non-surgical review.

Dr Colm McCarthy is a Sport & Exercise Physician working in Perth, WA.

He is currently team doctor for Western Force (Super Ruby), and a medical consultant for the WA Ballet. Colm has worked previously in Gaelic and Australian Rules Football and in elite soccer both in Ireland and Australia.

His clinical interests include knee injuries, foot and ankle, child and adolescent sports medicine, concussion and MSK ultrasound.
