Get Smart

Get SMART is a non accredited course for people who have an interest or are involved in sport or physical activity but who hold no formal qualifications in sports medicine. It is aimed at teachers, coaches, parents, students, in fact any sports participants. Participation in this course will give you a greater awareness of injury prevention and immediate management as well as knowledge on a range of sports safety issues.

The course is divided into six modules;

Module 1. Warm Up and Cool Down

Module 2. Approaches to Injury Prevention

Module 3. Immediate Management of Injuries

Module 4. Environmental Conditions

Module 5. Infectious Diseases and Infection Control

Module 6. Medical Conditions

The course is suitable for people of all ages. It is estimated that each module will take approximately 15 minutes to 30 minutes to complete depending on your existing level of knowledge.

On completion of the course and submission of the feedback form, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Cost for individuals: $33.00

Cost for groups:

(6-10 participants): $25 per person

(11-20 participants): $22 per person

(21 + participants): $16.50 per person
