Sports Trainer Reaccreditation Course Information

The SMA Sports Trainer Reaccreditation will renew your Level 1 or Level 2 Sports Trainer for a period of 3 years. It is designed to ensure participants maintain the skills required to perform the duties of a Sports Trainer.

The Reaccreditation process involves a competency based assessment of participant’s skills in a range of key sports trainer tasks.

These tasks include:

DRSABCD,

taping the thumb and ankle,

STOP, TOTAPS & RICER.

Prerequisites

Please note: it is a pre-requisite that participants have a current Sports First Aid or an appropriate First Aid certificate prior to completing the Sports Trainer Re-Accreditation Course. A current CPR accreditation is also required. Failure to provide this evidence will result in delays in receiving your course certificate.

SMA-VIC schedule a CPR Accreditation Course in conjunction with most Level 1/2 Reaccreditation Courses.
