Health Programs

CleanEdge:

CleanEdge is SMA-VIC’s Anti-Doping in Sport website. CleanEdge is designed as an educational resource and information hub that explores healthy ways to enhance performance, the facts about, and the consequences of, doping in sport. The website targets those participating at all levels of community sport, including those aspiring to reach their next sporting dream.

Smartplay:

The Smartplay program aims to reduce the incidence and frequency of sport and recreation injuries in the community. This is achieved through the promotion of safer sport messages and delivered through the development of effective partnerships between Smartplay and the community, schools and sporting groups.

Sports Injury Tracker:

The Sports Injury Tracker, developed by SMA-VIC with the support of the Victorian Government, is an online system that allows community sports personnel to record, store and analyse injuries that are occurring in their sport.

PICSAR (Safer Sporting Communities 2008-2011):

SMA-VIC partnered with VicHealth to undertake a project as part of the VicHealth Participation in Sport and Active Recreation Scheme (PICSAR). The overall goal of PICSAR was to increase participation in all levels of community sport and active recreation amongst people with disabilities and those from low socio economic, indigenous and new arrival communities. Some project outcomes can be found in case studies on the Smartplay website at smartplay.com.au
