HLTFA 311A Apply First Aid

 

Prerequisites:

 Minimum age 14 years

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

This one-day course has a sporting focus and as such is ideal for athletes, coaches, teachers and parents who wish to make sport safer.

The course is designed to be as ‘hands on’ as possible and includes modules such as the Sports First Aider in Action, Crisis Management, Immediate Injury Management, Environmental Injuries and Transport of an Injured Athlete.

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be issued with a three-year Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment showing the unit of competency HLTFA311A – Apply First Aid which incorporates the HLTCPR211A – Perform CPR
