Sustagen Sports Trainer of the Year

Sustagen Sport is looking to reward a NSW Community Sports Trainer who is using hydration and nutrition to assist their club’s participants to be at their best.

Whether it’s making sure the half time oranges are cut and ready for the Juniors, or ensuring that the Seniors have a proper understanding of how to fuel their bodies before and after exercise, the dedication and commitment of a trainer is the backbone of any sporting club.

The inaugural winner of the Sustagen Sport – Community Sports Trainer of the Year Award for 2009 was Taryn Cummane, trainer at the Chirnside Park Football Club. After a number of players commented on cramping and the lack of energy they had early in games, Taryn did further research and put together a small booklet to inform players of the importance of hydration and nutrition. As a result, many of the players noticed a difference in their performance and at the end of the year they achieved the ultimate goal of a Senior Premiership!

The monthly winner is awarded $500 worth of Sustagen Sport products and will go into the running to be named the 2010 Sustagen Sport Community Sports Trainer of the Year!

For your chance to enter, simply head to www.sustagensport.com.au and follow the links to the Community Sports Trainer of the Year page and explain how you have used nutrition and hydration to assist your club’s participants to be at their best.
