Sports First Aid Course
The Sports First Aid Course teaches the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualties, the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
This one day course has a sporting focus and is ideal for athletes, coaches, teachers and parents who wish to make sport safer.
The course will cover modules such as the Sports First Aider in Action, Crisis Management, Immediate Injury Management, Environmental Injuries and Transport of the Injured Athlete.
Upon successful completion of the course participants will recieve a Sports Medicine Australia Sports First Aid qualification and be issued with a three year Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment showing the unit of competency HLTFA301B – Apply First Aid, which incorporates the HLTCPR201A – Perform CPR and HLTFA201A – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support units of competency.
