The Safer Sport Program

The Safer Sport Program (SSP) has been developed with the philosophy of “making sport, safer sport.” SMA strives to achieve this by providing educational courses with an emphasis on injury prevention, immediate injury management, crisis management techniques and the specific practical skills required in the sporting environment.

Goals and Objectives

It is the goal of the Safer Sport Program to reach more people in the active community. Through education of the basic principles of first aid and sports medicine, participants gain a greater awareness of the prevention, assessment, management and referral processes of sporting injuries.

Course Venues and Locations

The SSP delivers courses at many metropolitan and regional locations throughout NSW.

Internally run Sydney-Metropolitan courses are run for the public out of Sports House, Sydney Olympic Park.

All SSP courses can be conducted for organisations, sporting clubs, schools and community groups at all locations in NSW.
