Advanced Taping for Sport

This is an advanced taping course, including taping techniques for the knee, shoulder, and advanced anatomy. Prospective participants must have completed the level 1 Sports Trainers course or provide evidence of equivalent experience.
Lecturer: Sports Physiotherapist
Duration: 5 hour
Venue: ACT Sports House 100 Maitland Street Hackett. Can be delivered at any venue for groups of 10 or more.
Cost: $120 SMA Members – $130 Non-Members
Content: Introduction, using tape, precautions, allergies, purpose of taping, tape selection, preparation and application.

- Plantar Fasciitis
- Bruised heel
- Syndesmosis
- Achilles Tendon
- Medial Tibial Border (Shin Splints)
- Superior Tib – Fib Joint
- Knee – Medial Collateral Ligament
- Knee – Patello Femoral Joint Dysfunction (Runner’s Knee)
- Knee – Patello Fat Pad Impingement (Puffy Knee)
- Knee – Patella Tendonopathy (Jumper’s Knee)
- Knee – Osgood Schlatter’s Syndrome
- Ilio – Tibial Band Offload
- Groin
- Wrist
- Elbow
- Shoulder Impingement
- Shoulder Instability
- Shoulder – Acromioclavicular Joint – acute and competition
- Postural – Thoracic Spine
- Postural – Lumbar Spine
Obviously a lot to cover in 5 hours – so the class majority vote will rule on any which gets left out if time is running short.
