The Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, published by Sports medicine Australia, is the major refereed research publication on sport science and medicine in Australia. The Journal provides high quality, original research papers to keep members and subscribers informed of developments in sports science and medicine. Produced for SMA six times a year by Elsevier Australia, it reflects SMA’s commitment to encouraging world-class research within the industry, and its commitment to the continuing education of its members.

Online accessfeature1

The articles from JSAMS are available online at www.jsams.org. All SMA members that have a current subscription of the journal are able to access all full-text articles, including current, past and in-press articles. The easiest way for professional members to access the journal is via the member portal. Just login using your membership details, and click Online Journal in the menu for instant full-text access. If you want to create bookmarks and use a variety of other features in www.jsams.org you will need to register, and claim your SMA membership – just click Register in the JSAMS website.

Mobile App

Once Professional members have claimed their subscription through jsams.org they can access the journal through Elsevier’s Health Advance mobile app. The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices. In the app you can view Abstracts, Full text, Figures and tables and references.

Subcription to the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport

Subscription to the Journal is included with all SMA Professional memberships. SMA Associate, Sports Trainer and Student members or members of sports medicine and science discipline groups (AAESS, AAPSM, ACSP, COSP, SDA, SDrA or SPA) may subscribe using the subscription form. Other individuals and all institutional subscribers must subscribe through Elsevier via the following link www.jsams.org/pricing

Editor-in-Chief Professor Gregory Kolt

Professor Gregory Kolt is the Head of the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences at the University of Western Sydney. Prior to this he spent 7 years in New Zealand as Professor of Health Science, Associate Dean (Research), and Founder and Co-Director of the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research in the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology.
