IMPACT FACTOR Jump for Journal of science and Medicine in Sport (JSAMS)

The 2008 Impact Factors have just been released and JSAMS has had an amazing rise. JSAMS now has an Impact Factor of 1.913 (compared to 1.091 in 2007). This has brought the journal up from a position of 39 out of 72 Sports Science journals in 2007 to a position of 16 out of 71 journals in 2009. We are now in the top 25% of journals in this category, and getting very close to other journals such as British Journal of Sports Medicine (IF = 2.126, ranked 10th). JSAMS increase appears to be the largest increase of any journal in this category from 2007 to 2008. [www.jsams.org]
