Women in Sport Symposium

Bryannah Downward

From the early beginnings studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at ACU Bryannah has always had a passion for Women’s Health. Since graduating from ACU in 2014 with a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology she has worked in a variety of private clinics with a focus on Women’s Health.

Currently practicing out of The Movement Therapy Group in Southeast Melbourne Bryannah’s passion for Women’s Health covers the entire lifespan, from PCOS, pregnancy and post natal, to menopause and everything in between. Bryannah also writes Women’s Health blogs for Exercise and Sports Science Australia’s information website Exercise Right.

A more recent development in Bryannah’s career is taking on the role as the Melbourne coordinator for the Women’s Health Collective. The WHC aims to improve interdisciplinary care within a Women’s Health setting, providing courses, resources and monthly meetings in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. With a focus on breaking down stigmas and normalising discussions about Women’s Health issues the group is open for all health professionals from any background to join.
