The SMAWA 2015 State Conference will be held at the Bayview Geographe Resort, 555 Bussell Highwway, Busselton from 14th – 15th November 2015.

Conference Registration Details

Full Registered delegates receive access to all sessions being offered during the conference. Delegates also receive:

- Admission to the Conference Dinner (except student registrations)

Additional  Options: 

CPR Workshop -HLTAID001                                                        $55 (1.5 hours)

CPR is one of the least practiced but the most vital skill of a First Aider. SMA therefore recommends, in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, that CPR is updated every 12 months.  Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive a Statement of Attainment in the unit of competency HLTAID001– Provide CPR.

Spinal Management Workshop- PUAEME004A                   $60 – Member, $70 – Non-member (3 hour workshop )

The workshop deals with recognition and management of suspected  spinal injuries. Upon completion, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the Nationally recognised unit of competency PUAEME004A Provide emergency care for suspected spinal injuries.
Prerequisite: current First Aid and CPR certificate.

This half day course will be held on Sunday the 14th at the SMA conference.

Sport Trainer Reaccreditation                                                      $99.00

Sports Trainer accreditation is valid for 3 years and should be updated before the expiry date. The SMA re-accreditation procedure involves demonstrating that you are competent and provides the opportunity to update you skills and knowledge with the latest techniques and information.

Sports Trainers have a six-month grace period after the expiry date of their accreditation, to re-accredit. Failure to re-accredit by this time will require full attendance at the relevant course.


 To attend the re-accreditation course, participants must have either a Level 1 Sports Trainer or Level 2 Sports Trainer accreditation in addition to:

  • Current First Aid Qualification (HLTFA311A - Apply First Aid  or HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid)
  • Current CPR Qualification (HLTCPR211A - Perform CPR or HLTAID001 – Provide CPR)

 Please note you will need to individually register for each additional workshop when registering.

The SMAWA 2015 State Conference provides delegates with the opportunity to earn continuing education points.

This activity has been approved for 30 (Category 2) points.

This organisation is an authorised provider of Accredited activities under the RACGP QI&CPD Program.

  • Member Registration: Delegates eligible for member registration are those who are currently financial with Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) National.

For all cancellations:

  • Registrations are transferable if a delegate is unable to attend the Conference.
  • All cancellations must be notified in writing to SMA (WA Branch).
  • All cancellations will incur an administration charge of $35.00
  • No refunds will be issued after November 1st 2015.
