Keynote Speaker Announcement – Dr Anthony Marsh

Dr. Anthony (Tony) Marsh received his undergraduate and MS degrees from the University of Western Australia and his Ph.D. from Arizona State University. He came to Wake Forest in August 1996 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science. On January 1, 2016, he was appointed as Associate Dean for Research, Scholarship, and Creativity in the Office of the Dean of the College. He is an affiliate faculty member in the VT-WFU School of BDr Anthony Marshiomedical Engineering and Sciences and in Gerontology & Geriatric Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Dr. Marsh teaches Human Gross Anatomy and Biomechanics of Human Movement to HES undergraduate students. He taught a Freshman Seminar class from 2004-2007. He has been nominated for the Reid-Doyle Prize for Excellence in Teaching (2000) and the Jon Reinhardt Award for Distinguished Teaching (2008). He served as the HES Graduate Program Director from 1997-2014. Dr. Marsh has served as the primary advisor for over 40 students in Honors, Masters, or PhD programs.
