Welcome Reception – Wednesday 3 November

In 2010 the Welcome Reception is being held in the Daintree Lounge at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas. Drinks and canapés will be served whilst delegates have the opportunity to meet with other delegates and speakers.

One ticket is included with each registration, accompanying guests and partners tickets may be purchased separately for $70 GST Inc each.

ASMF Fellows Dinner – Thursday 4 November

gilligans-islandThe Australian Sports Medicine Federation Fellows Dinner will be held on the Thursday night following the Trade exhibition opening. Enjoy the ASMF Fellows dinner on Gilligans Island. Gilligans Island is a private venue surround by tropical blue lagoon pools, under a carpet of lights from the Southern Stars.

NB The Fellows Dinner is only open to Australian Sports Medicine Federation Fellows and their partners or guest.
NNB Ticket includes food only – drinks to be purchased separately

Tickets must be purchased for all those attending. Tickets cost $75 GST Inc per person.

Scientific Poster Session – Friday 5 November

The Scientific Poster Session is a stand alone session, with discussion fueled by a complimentary drinks service. Senior members of SMA will provide feedback to individual researchers and discuss their research. Further, all poster abstracts accepted are published in the December 2010 supplement of the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport and will have the chance to share in one of the four poster awards on offer, each valued at $500.

AAPSM Discipline Group Dinner – Friday 5 November

The 2010 AAPSM dinner will be held at the Salsa Bar & Grill Port Douglas located at 26 Wharf Street Port Douglas from 7:30pm. This ‘Award Winning Restaurant’ is located in the heart of Port Douglas’ dining district. The Salsa Bar & Grill is one of Port Douglas Premier Dining Restaurants & is the winner of numerous Restaurant & Catering awards.

NB The AAPSM Dinner is only open to members of the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and their partners or guest.

Conference Dinner – Saturday 6 November Gazebo---Oasis-Theme-2

Always the highlight of the conference. Imagine enjoying an Australian BBQ dinner under the lights of the Southern Hemisphere, surrounded by the beautiful blue lagoon pools. Enjoy this open air dining the Gazebo has to offer with the sounds of 4 mile beach. 

The premier social event of ACSMS 2010 promises to be a memorable evening. This years Conference Dinner will be held Gazebo Poolside where you will enjoy local entertainment, dancing and fine food.
