National Board Nominations
Nominations for the SMA Board are now closed. SMA Members will now have an opportunity to vote for their preferred SMA Board candidates. Voting details and instructions are listed below.
As part of the revised SMA National Board structure three (3) National Director positions will be vacated for re-election at the SMA AGM at the 2016 Sports Medicine Australia at the MCG, Melbourne on Saturday 15 October 2016.
This represents a great opportunity to those with the skills, expertise and enthusiasm to make a difference to one of the world’s great multidisciplinary sports medicine organisations.
Nominees must be current full professional members of SMA and you must be nominated by a full professional member of SMA.
Any full professional member of SMA can vote in the SMA Board election. If you are uncertain of your membership status please contact 1800 685 684.

How to vote
Casting your vote can be done via two methods:
I. Via attending the AGM on October 15 2016 (please note that this will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground). Members in attendance may cast their vote at the AGM by completing the ballot slip which will be available at the AGM
II. Via the completion of the official proxy form and appointing a proxy to vote on your behalf. You may nominate a proxy or appoint the meeting chair to vote on your behalf. The official proxy form is available to be downloaded.
Anyone in receipt of completed proxy forms will provide these in hard copy form to the returning officer (SMA CEO) no later than the start time of the 2016 AGM.
Each SMA Full professional member may only cast one ballot.
Candidates that receive the most votes will be elected to the SMA National Board for a two (2) year term.
