‘Train the Trainer’ World Rugby Medical Educator Course

SMA are taking part in a ‘Train the Trainer’ World Rugby Medical Educator course this weekend.

This is the second time this course has been run in Australia and the first time it has included non-medical staff. The purpose of the course is to create a group of World Rugby accredited medical educators that can deliver the “World Rugby Level 1 First aid in Rugby” (FAIR) courses in the ACT region. This is a major focus for World Rugby for 2017 and beyond.

The ARU aim to run several of these “Train the trainer” courses through 2017 in other states which will educate doctors and physiotherapists (who have themselves been educated under the World Rugby education system) and include SMA lecturers and trainers to allow the program to be rolled out across Australia.
