Dr David Buttifant – Sport Science Director

Push the boundaries and give your athlete the edge

David has worked with elite athletes for over twenty years both at an Olympic level and in the AFL. His academic background includes a Doctorate in Exercise Physiology, an MBA and is a Clinical Associate Professor at ACU. He is currently the sports science director at the Collingwood Football Club where has worked for the past eleven years.

Daniel Jones – Physiotherapist

Chronic Groin Pain

Daniel has worked exclusively in sports physiotherapy throughout his career, and has work in elite netball and basketball prior to his involvement with Melbourne Victory Football Club.Daniel has been physiotherapist at Melbourne Victory since the 2008-9 Championship  Season in the Hyundai A-League and travelled extensively throughout Australia and Asia with the team. Though his involvement in football, Daniel has gained vast experience in managing groin pain of various origins at club level.

Speaker at Soft Tissue Injury Forums: 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002; Contributor: Clinical Sports Medicine (Brukner & Khan) 3rd Ed 2007.
