2010 Sports Trainers Conference
STC 2010
The 2010 Victorian Sports Trainers Conference was a great success with over 130 participants enjoying a day of professional development and networking at our new venue, Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre. An experienced group of speakers and workshop presenters educated Sports Trainers and attendees on various topics including groin injuries, biomechanics and injury and psychological aspects of dealing with injury. Participants gained valuable hands on experience in the workshops in the areas of current stretching techniques in the sporting environment, communicating with athletes and medical staff and assessment and treatment of core-stability in athletes.
Chef Executive Officer Nello Marino gave the keynote address giving participants an insight into the direction of SMA and current initiatives and programs benefiting Sports Trainers.
This year saw some new trade exhibitors including CV Fitness Systems, and SportsTek alongside longtime supporters Club Warehouse, The Athlete’s Foot, Elastoplast, Physicool and Asics.
We would like to thank everyone involved with STC2010, and congratulate you on contributing to such a successful day.
